Profile

The Sydney International Shooting Centre (SISC) is one of the world’s finest shooting venues. Set in a valley on 80 hectares of semi-rural farmland and regenerated bushland in Western Regional Sydney, it has played host to the most prestigious sports shooting events including the Sydney 2000 Olympics and Paralympic Games and the ISSF World Cup.

The Centre boasts an indoor 10m Range, outdoor (covered firing position) 25m and 50m Ranges, and the world’s first Finals Range, which combines 10m, 25m and 50m Ranges in one complex. Sydney International Shooting Centre also offers 3 Olympic clay target layouts, as well as 8 Down the Line and superimposed Skeet layouts.

The facilities available at the Sydney International Shooting Centre are incomparable within Australia. These facilities include:

  • 172 lines equipped with Sius Ascor electronic targetry system (rifle and pistol)
  • 3 Olympic trap and skeet ranges equipped with Mattarelli throwing machines
  • Ballistic test range
  • Scatt and Rika training systems
  • Security monitored firearms storage
  • Fully equipped conference and meeting rooms
  • In house Kiosk serving light hot and cold refreshments.

The facility has retained all of the sport specific components of the Olympic overlay and has since upgraded its 25m Range to accommodate Centrefire pistol up to .38 calibre.
